Chaga
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows on damaged parts of living trees such as birch, beech, and alder, maturing for three to five years. The most valued chaga grows in regions with extremely low temperatures (around –40°C, such as Siberia).
Chaga is a parasitic fungus that absorbs nutrients from the tree on which it grows. If removed, it grows back repeatedly until the host tree becomes completely depleted.
Our cacao blend contains high-quality, organically grown chaga.
Reishi
Reishi (also known as Ganoderma lucidum or lingzhi) contributes to natural immune defense and supports the healthy functioning of the cardiovascular system. Reishi grows on trees—including locally, in Slovenia—particularly in oak forests.
Due to its woody structure, it is most commonly prepared as a tea or tincture.
